Shrunk, life gets bigger.
Paul Safranek (Matt Damon) decides to downsize his life by undergoing a revolutionary shrinking procedure, which will reduce his size to just 12.7cm. He plans to spend the rest of his life in the miniature paradise Leisureland with his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig). Unfortunately, Audrey pulls out of the procedure at the last moment, leaving Paul to downsize alone. Life goes on for Paul, and he soon realises there are some problems that downsizing can’t solve.
Interesting facts about Downsizing
- Matt Damon, Laura Dern, and Christopher Waltz are all previous Oscar winners.
- Downsizing was filmed in the Omaha Steaks production facility and the employees were used as extras.
- Norway really does have a seed vault, close to the North Pole. Almost every plant in the world has its seeds stored there.
